As a realtor from the Vancouver board I have personally sold more investment tenanted investment ppopertys in 2024 then in the past 18 years where land lords want out for all the reasons mentioned in this article
I think it’s critical we allow Canadian investors these opportunities as well not just foreign investors. The possible change to Landlord and Tenant Law is also vital- we owned 3 rentals in AB would never do so in BC until the laws change
Good morning, Steve. I don’t think you understand. The tragedy that is our housing market was caused by one and only one thing: Carney’s disastrous interest rate policy where he held the prime rate BELOW the inflation rate. The result: massive increases in asset values.
Over the last couple of years, the market is telling us that you can’t keep pushing on a string. Asset values are declining LESS than the inflation rate. This will continue until equilibrium is achieved in the market place.
Sadly Canadians are unaware of Carney’s disastrous policies.
